Iskcon Perth Celebrates 50th Anniversary Of Srila Prabhupada’s Historic Visit

Fifty years ago, there was no ISKCON temple in Perth, Australia. His 10-day stay from May 6 to 12, 1975, became a defining moment in the history of ISKCON in Western Australia. To honor this momentous occasion, ISKCON Perth hosted a week-long celebration filled with international guest speakers, vibrant kirtans, public harinams, and sumptuous prasadam. Each day, large rose garlands were lovingly offered to Śrīla Prabhupāda, remembering his special fondness for Perth roses during his 1975 visit.

The festival offered devotees and guests a heartfelt glimpse into Śrīla Prabhupāda’s time in Perth. The memories and pastimes shared by his disciples were among the most touching moments, deeply resonating with the hundreds who attended.

It was a precious opportunity for our growing congregation to associate with some of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s dear disciples, including Bhakti Purusottam Swami, Amogha Das, Sutatkirtī Das, Jagattarini Dasi, and Cekitana Dasi.

Errol Musk Visits ISKCON Delhi, Praises Warmth of Hare Krishna Movement

Errol Musk, father of tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, visited ISKCON Delhi in East of Kailash at the invitation of Dr. Vivek Bindra. In India to explore green technology and sustainable energy initiatives, the South African businessman took darshan of Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi and offered a garland to the murti of Śrīla Prabhupāda, ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya.

During a press conference following the Temple visit, Musk spoke on global challenges, environmental innovation, and the spirituality he encountered in India. When asked about his experience at ISKCON Delhi, he highlighted the beauty of the temple and the warmth and friendliness of the priests, adding, “I can see why people join Hare Krishna.” He was presented with several gifts, including a copy of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is.
