Poem - by Jayati Radha dasi
.A wooden cart, so huge and strong,
Where Shakatasura hid along.
Sent by Kamsa with evil aim,
To stop Lord Krishna’s holy fame.
It bears the weight of habits old,
That keep the soul in Maya's hold.
With one small kick from Krishna's feet,
The demon met a swift defeat.
The mighty cart came crashing down,
Its pride and power lost their crown.
Then all around, both far and near,
Krishna’s causeless mercy did appear.
He breaks the chains of habits old,
And leads the heart into His fold.
Are we ready for Krishna’s touch,
That melts our pride and our ego’s clutch?
